Donna's Glorious Giveaways has found an easy way to put money in your pocket!

Hey, folks - it's the last week before Xmas!

Despite having my usual anecdotal posts ready for you over the past couple of Fridays, I decided to spend time brainstorming a new DGG concept.

I was thinking about what a real financial challenge Christmas is posing for me this year when it hit me - I'm probably not alone! After all, I'm not the only one suffering from the fallout of unforeseen circumstances.

I mean, isn't your pocket a little light too? Wouldn't you like the opportunity to earn a little extra cash with minimal effort? I thought so.

I'm developing a new DGG initiative where anyone can earn a portion of the blog's revenue on a monthly basis. You'll be paid a monthly wage in exchange for participating in a focus group set up by DGG on behalf of a marketing agency representing various advertisers.

This modest wage will range from the equivalent of a small gift card to a useful financial top-up... not just for post-holiday debt, but for servicing debt year-round!

So how does it work? Here's the bare-bones version:

You submit your e-mail address for registration and complete a 5-minute survey. I will then send you a welcome message which includes access to the latest co-op page.

You must click at least 1 of the giveaway banners on that page, register your banner clicks (for earnings-tracking purposes) and submit ONLY your e-mail and/or zip code via each advertiser's online form... that's basically it!

At the end of the month, I'll declare a dividend (ranging from 5% - 30%) based on the revenue earned and # of participants. The more revenue earned, the larger the pot.

But more importantly, the more participants there are, the more generous I'll be with the dividend so as to ensure a reasonable return for everyone involved. In this way, we'll all feel fully motivated and incentivized.

Those of you who have invested in mutual funds or the stock market would know that dividends are usually declared at a rate of less than 10% of your investment (for common shares).

With DGG Dividends I'm offering you up to 3 times that, requiring no investment other than about 7 to 50 minutes of your time per week.

Through this initiative, I can spread the blog's financial dependence across several sponsors whilst rewarding you handsomely for facilitating the endeavor.

Companies pay you 10% dividends for the use of your money - DGG will pay you up to 30%, just for the use of your time (only 1 to 2 minutes per giveaway entry).

But before we get into all of that, I need you to do one thing for me.

You see, the DGG Dividends initiative can only work if the advertisers see value in it, i.e. that their freebies are reaching the right audience. To ensure that this happens, I need you to complete a simple, 5-minute survey.

Don't worry, this survey is just for me - not the advertisers nor the marketing agency that hired me. That means that no-one but I will see your survey responses.

By examining your survey responses, I'll be able to present you with only those types of giveaways which you personally find appealing, which in turn should encourage you to click on more giveaway banners and submit more zip code/e-mail entries down the road.

The advertisers and marketing agency will never see this survey data... all that they'll see is a very low-cost, laser-targeted, high-return promo campaign.

Furthermore, I will only use your contact information to determine your portion of each dividend payout and to make those payments to you via Paypal or Amazon.

How can you be sure of this?

Because besides your Paypal/Amazon payee e-mail, I'm only gonna ask for your age range, gender, marital status, zip/postal code, # of kids under 18, # of dependents aged 18 or over, what % of your shopping is done online and (optionally) to specify the product(s) and/or service(s) that you are currently considering.

See? No traceable info, no junk mail and definitely no telemarketers!

Each participant will receive a share of the dividend as follows:

(# of dividend qualifications credited to participant DIVIDED BY total # of dividend qualifications) TIMES dividend declared

This will ensure a payout which is proportionate to the effort put in.

Sound good to you? Ok then.

I'm gonna let you think about this for a few days. Feel free to ask me any questions, either here on the blog or via any other DGG channel (see DGG's contact info below).

Please note that the success of this venture (and the amount of $ put into YOUR pocket monthly) depends on your willingness to complete the one-time survey and to enter at least 5 giveaways per week (preferably more).

As for my mom-blog fans, fear not - I am not forsaking you. You'll continue to see anecdotal and personal-interest stories in Donna's Diary.

Ok, let's pause here. In the coming weeks I'll present more information about DGG Dividends and responses to your feedback, including the rules governing this new initiative.

See you then

  2. Hey, Sharon! As I said before in my e-mail response - Happy New Year and it's great to hear from you again.

The survey wasn't released until yesterday (Jan 5) because I wanted to give you time to soak in the whole idea and the official rules.

See my "final step" post for the survey link.
